Matthew McConaughey deserves, with both hands, the Oscar he won in the Best Actor category for this movie!
He 100% looks and acts as an immunocompromised AIDS patient!!! Hats off to his dedication to the character!

Also needing a special mention is an equally dedicated and brilliant role by Jared Loto! He has transformed himself into a cachexic transvestite who is also suffering from AIDS. And aptly rewarded too - he too won an Oscar, in the Best Supporting Actor category! :-)
