Heavily based on The NoteBook and sold as an original story! |
Is there any bollywood movie out there which seemed so original NOT an unacknowledged rip-off of some hollywood movie!!?? :-(
Even the seemingly original Munnabhai Mbbs and 3 Idiots' Rancho a blatant plagiarism and based on the character of Robin Williams in Patch Adams!!!
Barfi's story of a city girl meeting a countryside hero with mother preventing them from being together is a modified rip-off of The Notebook starring Ryan Gosling :-(
Even You Me aur Hum is a complete rip- off of the same movie .. But that's a well known fact :)
I was surfing through my old movie collection and i came across The Notebook and decided to watch it again as i had almost forgotten everything about it ..
And halfway through the movie comes the scene where the mother takes the heroine to secretly see her (mom's) ex- boyfriend and tells her how nearly she got married to her, and if she had, how different her life would have been ... That's the scene from barfi, u must be thinking... Well guys This one is fron the Notebook which has been entirely lifted by the Barfi guys :-(
And then it hit me .. The whole barfi story has been a brilliant rip-off of the note book -- of course with heavy indianisation of the characters .. Jus
I admit barfi is a brilliant movoe .. But its definitely wrong to plagiarize someone's work and pass it off as one's own.. Shameful ...
I mean is there any originality left in Bollywood because, when they want to make anything different and inspiring, they have to take help of a hollywood story and just indianize the whole thing and sell it to us as an original one!!! :-(
Same goes with the character of munna bhai .. A complete rip-off of Patch Adams... Watch the latter and see for yourself how much they match!!
Same thing goes for Three Idiots or Munnabhai,,
Rip-off of Patch Adams! |
entire India has recognised Raju Hirani as an original writer .. unique and all...
Well it turns out that he is not that original as we took him for .. Both his movies as well as the characters are heavily based on patch Adams, a brilliant Robin williams movie!!
Watch it to believe it..
Even aamir khan starrer jo jeeta wahi sikandar is a brilliant rip-off of Breaking Away- another great hollywood movie of the 80s which very few of us might have seen .. The entire story is taken as it is from that movie! unbelievable!

I mean, REALLY!! A comlplete rip-off from Breaking Away!! |
If that's not enough, even tare zameen par is heavy copycat work..
This time the character of Ameer Khan is again a rip-off of Robin Williams in The Dead Poet's Society!!
Aamir Khan''s Character heavily based on that of Robin Williams in Dead poet's Society! |

You think it's a new phenomenon??? I am afraid it's not! What i am gonna reveal next is quite explosive! Even the all time classic Deewar written by famed Javed Akhtar and Salim are a rip-off and not original!!! I mean you guys don't deserve our respect!
It's quite funny how i came to know about it... i was watching The Sopranos and in that particular episode, Tony is watching an old black and white hollywood movie The Public Enemy in which the famous "Mere pas maa hai" scene was being played in English!!!!
Just like in Deewar, here's a guy who has become an underworld don ( amitabh bachhan) and a good guy ( sashi kapoor) n in a face-off they fight over their mother .. Just like in Deewar!! Isn't this a limit!! And all these years we were thibking wow!.. So original .. So mature ... :-D
Its really shameless to plagiarize entire story ... But to lift entire scenes from a hollywood movie is unbelievably second class!
HOW ABOUT THE SONGS-- well they too aren't any far behind in plagiarism !!
subramanyam's Mene pyaar Kiya is a complete rip-off of tune as well as lyrics from-- ' i just want to say , that i love you'
Pehli nazzar me.. By aatif aslam a ripoff of some korean song!
And many more!! :-)/:-(
Well its Not their fault...
with the pathetic education system that rewards the crammers and punishes the creative ones, its a wonder that bollywood exists at all!! Ha ha :-D
